Suzanne Myers

Suzanne graduated from Cape Breton University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and in 2017 from The University of Western Ontario with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. She started working at Progressive Occupational Therapy and Hand Rehabilitation in January of 2018.

She is registered with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the New Brunswick Association of Occupational Therapists and is registered as a Clinical Care Manager with Veterans Affairs Canada.

She has been trained as a Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) provider, a Mental Health First Aid Provider and has completed courses in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. She is committed to maintaining a client-centered approach while utilizing these skills to assist clients who are experiencing disability associated with physical or mental health conditions in achieving their goals with regard to returning to meaningful occupations and life roles, including work.

Some of the services that she is able to provide include working with employers and insurance companies to facilitate return-to-work, assisting clients with mental health challenges develop or re-develop daily functioning and coping skills, assisting clients with community integration, recommending adaptive equipment, and completing ergonomic evaluations.

Suzanne has a special interest in working with people who are experiencing mental health challenges and has had experience working predominantly with adults in this field. She also has clinical education experience working in community, hospital and rehabilitation settings.

In her spare time, she enjoys running, reading, travelling, and doing yoga.
